Why 'only' 30 SPF and what is mineral sunscreen?
Mineral sunscreen, also known as physical sunscreen, contains active mineral ingredients such as zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide. These minerals work by forming a protective barrier on the skin's surface that reflects and scatters UV radiation away from the skin. Unlike chemical sunscreens, which absorb UV rays and convert them into heat, mineral sunscreens act as a physical shield, providing broad-spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays.

Yes, you can still tan while wearing mineral sunscreen. Although mineral sunscreens protect your skin from harmful UV radiation by reflecting and scattering UV rays, no sunscreen can block 100% of UV rays. Therefore, some UV rays can still penetrate the sunscreen and stimulate melanin production, which leads to tanning.
